Mozai's Shoutcast Scoreboard

This is a list of how many people were listening to particular songs on shoutcast stations. Listeners did not vote for these songs, but they were receiving a stream of the song at the time the stations were polled, so it's assumed the music wasn't so horrible they turned it off; the point of this is to get a list of popular songs, not good ones. If you've been in a nightclub (as a DJ or as a patron), you'll know that people don't go to the dancefloor for good music, but what's familiar. This list should help predict what will be well received in the clubs.

Currently, I only poll the top five hundred most popular Shoutcast stations. The last poll was

2006-01-03: I started work at a place where music is their business, so I'm putting this project aside. If you want to tinker with it yourself, you can have the source code. I used PHP, PostgreSQL and Python, but you could substitute MySQL if you wanted to. The database ran over a gigabyte, though, so watch out.
